Smriti Singh is the creative mind behind the college support program, Horizons. Her major is Physics at DePaul University, interested in condensed matter physics and quantum computing. She hopes to pursue her Master’s degree in the same. She has previously done research in astrophysics, where she looked at methanol maser variations in space. She is currently an intern at Illinois Institute of Technology, where she is working on improving the computational speed of calculating transfer entropy and calculating mutual information across datasets. She loves working with kids and believes in making higher education accessible to everyone. Outside of her professional endeavors, Smriti enjoys reading, playing video games, and baking for her friends.
